Dear Proud TCNJ Parent,
Although my little ones (six year old and five month old boys) have a ways to go, the most popular comment I receive from parents visiting campus is that the time will go by faster than I could ever imagine. In the blink of an eye I will be where you are right now: preparing to send your amazing child, who somewhere along the way turned into an adult, off to college. While the majority of my focus is on your student, I can empathize with the feelings of excitement and nervousness you might be feeling! This major life event is also a big transition for you and your family, and you may have your own questions and concerns.
One of our biggest resources is the Parents & Families Program. In addition to planning the annual Parent & Family Day in the fall and sending out quarterly e-newsletters, this website has great articles on the transition to college and links to resources on campus. Get connected today by signing up for emails and joining the Facebook page!
You may also opt-in to receive the summer e-newsletters (Transition Times) I am sending to our new students, which are emailed and posted on the First Year and Transfer Student pages.
If there is anything I can do to help you or your student, please don’t hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise I look forward to meeting you over the summer, and can’t wait to welcome your student to TCNJ this fall!
