Welcome Week

A long-standing TCNJ tradition, Welcome Week is the culminating event of your transition to the College. Comprised of 100+ mandatory and optional events, this five-day program for ALL new students (first-years and transfers) will allow you to create memories that will truly last a lifetime.

Transfer Students: You do NOT participate in Convocation or any Academic Welcome Day events. Please enjoy the day off to prepare for the start of classes on Tuesday, August 31!

Kick-Off Meeting Information

  • Residential First-Year Students: Your “Welcome to Welcome Week” kick-off meeting with your residence hall floor will start at 2:30p on Thursday, August 26. You are allowed to return to campus after 2:00p that day, so make sure you time it correctly so you can meet your Orientation Leaders and go over the schedule!
  • Commuter First-Year Students: Your “Welcome to Welcome Week” kick-off meeting will start at 6:30p on Thursday, August 26 (Location: Brower Student Center 225). Your Orientation Leaders will review the schedule and make sure you are included in the ever important Welcome Week GroupMe so you can stay connected throughout the program. We will also host a pizza dinner (for commuter students only) from 5:30-6:30p before the kick-off meeting in BSC 225.
  • Residential Transfer Students: You will join the “Welcome to Welcome Week” kick-off meeting with the Commuter Transfer Students starting at 6:30p on Thursday, August 26 (Location: Brower Student Center 100). Please grab dinner in the dining hall (Atrium at Eickhoff) prior to the kick-off meeting.
  • Commuter Transfer Students: Your “Welcome to Welcome Week” kick-off meeting will start at 6:30p on Thursday, August 26 (Location: Brower Student Center 100). Your Griffins will review the schedule and make sure you are included in the ever important Welcome Week GroupMe so you can stay connected throughout the program. We will also host a pizza dinner (for commuter students only) from 5:30-6:30p before the kick-off meeting in BSC 100.
