Parents

Dear Proud TCNJ Parent,

Although my little ones (nine and three and a half year old boys) have a ways to go, the most popular comment I receive from parents is that the time will go by faster than I could ever imagine. In the blink of an eye I will be where you are right now: preparing to send your amazing child, who somewhere along the way turned into an adult, off to college.

If your student provided your email address when applying to TCNJ, you will automatically receive the summer e-newsletters (Transition Times) that I send out every two weeks (also posted on the first-year and transfer student tabs). If you are not receiving them and would like to, email admiss@tcnj.edu and ask to have your email added to your student’s online portal.

Additionally, one of our biggest resources is the Parents & Families Program. In addition to planning the annual Parent & Family Day in the fall and sending out quarterly e-newsletters, this website has great articles on the transition to college and links to resources on campus. Get connected today by signing up for emails and joining the Facebook page!

If there is anything I can do to help you or your student in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact studenttransitions@tcnj.edu.

Sincerely,

Lindsay Barndt, Director

Office of Student Transitions
